David Petraeus Sex Scandal
Full coverage of the fallout from Gen. David Petraeus’ resignation as CIA director for having an affair, and the Tampa woman centered around the controversy.

In at least one instance, Kelley flew to the nation’s capital with General John Allen, the commander of US forces in Afghanistan.

Top officers have access to VIP planes like the C-40, a sort of mini-Air Force One with special communications gear. There’s also a modified corporate jet, the C-37A, reserved for high-level officers.

10 News has made numerous requests for flight records to see just how many times Kelley has flown on government-owned planes, but so far the Pentagon says it has not been able to track down the answer.

It’s also possible officials simply don’t want to release that information or that they didn’t keep track of who was flying with some of the country’s top military leaders.

One flight the Department of Defense has confirmed to 10 News that Kelley took was an orientation flight on a KC-135 in May of 2010.

“It’s an educational opportunity for people to just see what hard working military members are doing each day,” Lt. Col. Jack Miller told said on Monday.

Officials note about 150-people each year take an orientation flight at MacDill, with the flights leaving and then returning to Tampa.

“I’ve seen anything from community leaders to Cub Scouts to sports teams… But by in large, it’s generally folks throughout the community that just have an interest in the instillation. Sometimes it’s just a matter of requesting to do it.”

An email investigation that Kelley started ultimately led to David Petraeus resigning as the director of the CIA.

Petraeus admitted to having an affair with biographer Paula Broadwell.

Israel: Petraeus was unfaithful to us

This reporter has confirmed some of the suspicions that CIA Director David Petraeus’ infidelity went well beyond his dalliance with Paula Broadwell. One well-placed source confirmed that, “My God, if we had to sack everyone in the military and intelligence communities for sleeping around, we would be decimated! Petraeus must have done something much worse.”
RIGHT: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu is breaking up with CIA Director David Petraeus due to his infidelity to Israel. (CLICK TO ENLARGE)
Some discrete inquiries led, as usual, to Israel, and a very high placed contact that I cannot reveal but to whom I will refer as B.B. Here is what he had to say:

Barb Weir: B.B., you admit to some concerns about General Petraeus. Please elaborate.

B.B.: As you know, Barb, the U.S. and Israel have a relationship that goes well beyond friendship. I’m afraid Gen. Petraeus betrayed that relationship.
Barb Weir: What happened?
B.B.: In 2010, he described Israel as a strategic liability for the U.S. because our struggle to liberate as much land as possible from Palestinians and our Arab neighbors is an obstacle to resolving the conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and other parts of the Middle East. He even had the nerve to say it in front of Congress!
“As you know, Barb, the U.S. and Israel have a relationship that goes well beyond friendship. I’m afraid Gen. Petraeus betrayed that relationship.”

Barb Weir: So you’re saying it’s not true?

B.B.: You’re missing the point, Barb. Truth is irrelevant. When you’re in a relationship the way the U.S. and Israel are, you can’t say things like that. We have to be able to trust each other.
Barb Weir: I get it, but what about Israeli spying on the U.S.? Jonathan Pollard conducted the most massive spy operation in U.S. history for you guys.
B.B.: Your president Reagan was the one who said “trust but verify”. We could never have sold any of that information to China and other countries without first verifying.
Barb Weir: So you’re saying that Petraeus lost his job because he undermined U.S. support for Israel?
B.B.: Marital infidelity is one thing, but infidelity to Israel is unforgiveable. Fortunately Paula Broadwell came to Israel as part of a cadet exchange program when she was at West Point, and ended up in a position to help. These exchange programs with the military and law enforcement are really paying off.
“infidelity to Israel is unforgiveable.”
Barb Weir: Then why did she also provide information on marital infidelity for Petraeus’ successor, Gen. John Allen?
B.B.: Allen was the wrong choice, Barb. Fortunately, it’s all being straightened out now.
Barb Weir: How was he the wrong choice? What has he said or done?
B.B.: He’s OK, but there is a much better choice that should have been exercised, and now we can do that.
Barb Weir: Really? Who’s more qualified?
B.B.: Retired Congresswoman Jane Harman is being considered, and she’s the perfect candidate. She’s a dedicated Zionist, has always voted with Israel and has sponsored lots of legislation on our behalf. What more can the U.S. ask for than a CIA Director that is sworn to defend Israel’s interests?

Why else did the CIA spymaster resign?

The real issue is dealing with political uncertainty, the difference from what is publicly said, what is publicly seen and what actually exists.”

The United States is undergoing a political maelstrom that, in many ways, parallels what is currently going on in China. Though the election ended days ago, a significant victory for Obama, perceived by most as a repudiation of American support for Netanyahu, the real issues are far more sinister.

Powerful forces within the government are reacting, not just to threats of civil war, assassination and domestic terrorism. There is a vast and well-orchestrated clandestine effort to centralize power behind the presidency, preparation likely to lead to an expansion in executive power.

All competing factions, Pentagon, State Department, CIA and courts face disembowelment by the Obama administration.

Does this represent a change in American policy, both domestic and foreign, or is this a consolidation at the behest of the unseen ruling elites many claim controlled both candidates, Obama and Romney, equally?

Today, General David Petraeus resigned as CIA director sighting “poor judgment” in his personal life, an “extramarital affair” as the reason.

No one believes him.

A top American general, the “Patton” of our time, CIA chief and potential presidential candidate is now a broken man, career in ruins, supposedly over an affair with a female American intelligence operative.

From Veterans Today:

First, we are not ready to throw Petraeus to the wolves.

He came to the CIA in handcuffs, historically tied to the phony war on terror, his role in the “Sunni Awakening” which paid off Baathist terrorists who are now tearing Iraq apart.

Then there was his job in Afghanistan, having to clean up the mess made by Stanley McChrystal, who, with Richard Holbrooke, knows more about heroin than Arnold Rothstein ever did.

It is obvious that Petraeus was compromised by a foreign power or found to be involved in something so serious that he would destroy his career and reputation in writing rather than some other consequence, typically “suiciding” or arrest.

We share friends and all I know of Petraeus makes this, the most obvious conclusions, very difficult to believe. He is a man of humor and insight though very ambitious.

Who could have “set up” the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency?

A week ago, Vice Admiral Gaouette, in command of the USS Stennis and her support task force including nuclear submarines, was “perp walked” off the flight deck of the giant American carrier, twenty miles off the coast of Iran, as though he were a common criminal.

Issues

Even President Obama admits his first term was unsuccessful. We can submit his actions to analysis; a man openly opposed to how the war on terror was waged has now increased drone attacks significantly and threatens military interference in Syria.

Conversely, he has been adamant in his refusal to support Netanyahu’s threats against Iran though his pre-election military display in the Persian Gulf may well have ended in disaster.

The removal of Gaouette is unique in military history with one exception, the firing of General McArthur by President Harry Truman during the Korean War. Truman fired MacArthur for not just planning but preparing a nuclear attack on China and a full-scale invasion of the Chinese mainland.

With only one direct parallel in the last century, it is reasonable to assume that Gaouette was following in the path of former 5th Fleet commander, Admiral Cosgriff.

Cosgriff, according to Gwyneth Todd, Chief Political Officer for the fleet, reported Cosgriff to the Department of State when she learned that he was planning false flag terror attacks against American troops in the Persian Gulf theatre and was planning to sail American warships well into Iranian waters.

False Flag

To those who have gained a conspiratorial analytical hypothesis when examining the methodologies implemented by the mysterious command authority, the one that ordered the Air Force “stand down” on 9/11, the one that allowed a nuclear bomber to be stolen from Minot Air Force Base, allowing criminal elements in the government to openly take control of the reins of history, we submit the following:

The largely privatized military/intelligence complex, driven by criminalized monopolies in narcotics, banking, oil, arms, pharmaceuticals and human trafficking has, without any question, gained control of the operations of most agencies of government, of all national economies and all media, be it news or entertainment, in the West.

That this range of control, a misinformed electorate confined to voting for political candidates constrained to be no more than actors on a stage, has created a climate where anyone speaking with clarity, not just today, but as long ago as the First World War and every major conflict thereafter, would be labeled a “monster.”

Today, the news is General David Petraeus. It is now obvious that he agreed to be kept on until after the election. His punishment, total self-destruction, shooting himself might have been a kindness, is difficult to fathom.

What could he have done? Andrew Breveik, the pro-Israeli mass murder of Norway has suffered a kinder fate for the murder of 77 children.

The Unknown

There is clearly an information void. Most “professional” news sources serve an agenda. Some, Press TV being one, serve an Iranian target audience and, on the whole, serve a unique, accurate and balanced view of the rest of the world.

Thus, they are banned, stricken from the air and stand accused. I was accused, last week, of “working for the Iranian government” in having my writings carried by Press TV and for agreeing to take part in talk shows and political debates.

I nearly laughed myself to death. I am an American defense contractor and counter-terrorism specialist by profession. However, with 43 years of experience, I am unlikely to be led around by the nose and much less likely to be pushed or threatened.

There is a threat to the world. It is not Islamic extremism or even Americans gone crazy as they do each election, stirred into a self-destructive mental “haze” through third-rate propaganda.

The real issue is dealing with political uncertainty, the difference from what is publicly said, what is publicly seen and what actually exists.

Were America and the West simply Machiavellian, those of us trained in what the British once called “the great game” might understand. Now no one understands.

We are living with chaos, either that or political systems bent on only entropy.

Thus, we examine the mosaic, what we can know, discard the analysis we are fed, knowing it is always false, always deception, “wiki-deception,” and look for what we cannot see through the analysis of what we are not told, of what we don’t see, of what is avoided, not what is shown.

This is our only tool set, our only view of the world other than conjecture, “Imagineering” or accepting the garbage we are fed.

The Plan

One thing is clear, Obama is not entering his second, his last term as president without taking advantage of the fact he no longer needs to be concerned about election.

What he also knows is that his predecessor left him with vast extra-constitutional powers, the Patriot Acts, FISA (some), the NDAA provisions and suspension of habeas corpus.

What has been telling, what has added to the mosaic, has been the failure of a “liberal” president to disassemble the tools of oppression.

Then we face the question, Is President Obama entering on a phase of building a “legacy” of economic stabilization, of peace, of stability or is he going to “vacation” his way through his political life as George “W” Bush had done?

The other aspect of the mosaic is inextricable. Is President Obama currently in the process of “cleaning house” toward an agenda? Does he plan to attempt to influence Israel’s politics as they attempted to rig America’s election?

If unsuccessful at that, will, as many suspect, Israel be “quarantined?”

Enemies At Home, “Special Ops”

It has become clear that, under the guise of misrepresentation, there are those advocating service to Israel, to Wall Street and the drug cartels and “wrapping themselves in the flag” as we call it. They, those former members of the military, current and retired, who are drawn toward being “groupies” for wealthy (and violent) extremists, are selling their souls for a crust of bread, a glass of scotch and the services of an underage prostitute of indeterminate sex.

I know enough of these to fill an arena.

They are long on talk, usually drunk; few have more than five minutes of facing danger in military careers that spanned decades of seat warming and petty theft.

As we speak, their expertise, not so much in education or intelligence, not so much in physical prowess or agility but rather steeped in treason, in anger, in self-deceit and greed, these groups are raising funds to attempt to overthrow America’s government.

Donald Trump and Ted Nugent, who, at the word of Willard Romney’s landslide defeat smeared himself from head to foot in human feces, the same way he avoided military service during the Vietnam War, this pair and others, human vermin, plan to divide America.

Let Them?

The threats are there, our question is whether they are recognized and the force is used to keep the American union as one, even if all of Wall Street is dragged off to prison and every corporation that has moved overseas is repatriated and taxed into the oblivion it deserves.

The signs, the mosaic, be it the obscure and inexplicable exit of Petraeus or the upcoming demise of others we hear are heading for the “chopping block,” are clear.

America will change, it has changed. Rot set in long ago. Perhaps amputation is a cure.

It may well have begun, on a piecemeal basis. Perhaps it can grow.

I have a list.

The FBI Found Classified Documents On Paula Broadwell’s Computer

CSM Marvin L. Hill

The FBI has been investigating Paula Broadwell, former CIA director David Petraeus’ biographer and reported mistress, for months, citing concerns about classified information and a potential national security breach.Well, it turns out that during the FBI’s investigation, the bureau did find classified documents on Broadwell’s computer, reports the Wall Street Journal.

In September, the FBI began to do a legal analysis to see if there were any charges that could be brought. They decided to interview Broadwell.

During her first interview, she admitted that she was having an affair with Petraeus and gave up her computer to the investigators.

On it, they found classified documents.

Petraeus was interviewed too, and he admitted to the affair as well. However, he said that he did not provide Broadwell with those classified documents. Broadwell echoed Petraeus’ claims in her next interview with investigators in early November.

The source of the classified documents remains unclear.

FBI probe of Petraeus triggered by e-mail threats from biographer, officials say

Video: The scandal that brought down CIA Director David Petraeus started with harassing emails sent by his biographer and paramour, Paula Broadwell, to another woman, and eventually led the FBI to discover the affair, U.S. officials said on Saturday.

The collapse of the impressive career of CIA Director David H. Petraeus was triggered when a woman with whom he was having an affair sent threatening e-mails to another woman close to him, according to three senior law enforcement officials with knowledge of the episode.

The recipient of the e-mails was so frightened that she went to the FBI for protection and help tracking down the sender, according to the officials. The FBI investigation traced the threats to Paula Broadwell, a former military officer and a Petraeus biographer, and uncovered explicit e-mails between Broadwell and Petraeus, the officials said.

Paula Broadwell visited “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” in January 2012 to discuss her research for her biography of Gen. David Petraeus.

The woman who received the e-mails was Jill Kelley in Tampa, Fla., according to law enforcement officials. The nature of her relationship with Petraeus is unknown.

When Petraeus’s name surfaced, FBI investigators were concerned that the CIA director’s personal e-mail account had been hacked and that national security had been threatened. The officials said further investigation, including FBI interviews with Broadwell and Petraeus, led to the discovery that the two were engaged in an affair.

The law enforcement officials said the e-mails indicated that Broadwell perceived the other woman as a threat to her relationship with Petraeus.

Attempts to reach Broadwell and her relatives have been unsuccessful, and she has not made a public statement since she was linked with Petraeus on Friday.

All three senior officials who described the impetus for the investigation spoke on the condition of anonymity because aspects of the inquiry are ongoing.

Petraeus, a retired four-star Army general who was once seen as a potential presidential candidate, said Friday that he was resigning as CIA chief because he had been involved in an extramarital affair. He has been married for 38 years and has two grown children, though he said in his resignation statement to CIA colleagues that he had been married “over 37 years.”

Broadwell is married and has two young children.

In an e-mail sent to a longtime friend Friday night, Petraeus expressed regret for letting down his family and the nation. The friend, who described the contents of the e-mail on the condition of anonymity, said Petraeus conveyed profound remorse in the message.

“He was deeply sorry for the pain he has caused his family,” the friend said. “He also noted how much he loved his job at the agency. He said he really relished the intellectual challenge there.”

Other details emerged Saturday indicating that the Petraeus allegations became a secret election-night drama for the Obama administration. That evening, the Justice Department informed the director of national intelligence, James R. Clapper Jr., that their investigation had unearthed compromising information about the CIA director, according to a senior U.S. intelligence official.

Clapper then spoke with Petraeus and urged him to resign, notifying the White House the next day. That sequence has become a source of controversy, raising questions among some members of Congress about why key intelligence committees were not notified earlier and why the FBI waited before informing the administration about a probe that had stumbled onto embarrassing details about the CIA chief.

Benghazi-Gate, Plot Thickens — Sex, Spies And Suspicion? – Cia Director David Petraeus Resigns

Miraculously it is after the   election that  Petraeus decides that  he must  resign due to   an  affair  that  has  been  gong on  since  2010  however  just  before he  was  due to  take the  stand and  testify  on  Benghazi?

How perfect  is that  timing?

How many  other witnesses  will be removed?

What  horrible events led to the  death of the Americans  at the  Embassy  that  night?  What  are they  trying to cover up?

Stepping down as  Director of the CIA does   not  prevent him from testifying, however as  he has  now stepped  down he  can  no longer reveal  classified information , but  as  Director of the CIA  he  could not  reveal Classified information without  being prosecuted.  What the hell is  going on ?

Patraeus Resignation Smells Funny

Posted by Daniel McAdams on November 9, 2012 10:50 PM

What could be so bad and threatening that a “national hero” like General David Patraeus would admit to the horribly embarrassing and personal extra-marital affair just to divert attention and thus exit the game relatively intact? (Sometimes admitting to something terribly personal can provide a kind of vaccine against further probes). Speculation buzzes through cyberspace.

Seems right-wingers feel it is a way to avoid having to testify over CIA failures in Benghazi in September. Possible. I wonder whether that horse is indeed cold after Republican beatings. And I am a bit skeptical that Benghazi was anything resembling what it was portrayed. For example, how did American-made Stingers get to Syria? Ambassador Stevens was the architect of the Benghazi uprising and he seemed rather keen to spread “democracy” beyond Libya. Did that include exporting democracy?

This is a little more interesting:

“As for how the affair came to light, the Congressional official said that ‘it was portrayed to us that the F.B.I. was investigating something else and came upon him. My impression is that the F.B.I. stumbled across this.’”

What is the “else”? Would be interesting to know. Sometimes just an affair — which under intel protocol is a serious (because blackmailable) matter — is enough. Sometimes not.

CIA Director Petraeus Resigns, Cites Extramarital Affair

……….

Military justice considers extramarital affairs—ripe ground for blackmailing—to be security threats and possible grounds for court martial, The AP reported.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, told NBC News that she would have “stood up for him.”

“I wanted him to continue,” she said. “He was good, he loved the work, and he had a command of intelligence issues second to none.” Feinstein added that Petraeus will no longer be required to testify at hearings next week related to the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya Sept. 11.

Petraeus, a West Point graduate who climbed the ranks of the U.S. military, became one of the country’s most high-profile leaders as the top U.S. Commander first in Iraq then in Afghanistan.

He met his wife Holly while a West Point cadet, The AP reported. They are parents to two grown children, a son and a daughter, and live in Virginia, according to the CIA’s website.

In January 2011, the Treasury Department named Holly Petraeus to establish the Office of Servicemember Affairs for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

A popular figure in Washington and a media darling, David Petraeus took over as head of the CIA in September 2011 when Leon Panetta took the helm of the Department of Defense. Petraeus kept a much lower profile after transitioning to his new post. His popularity waned as a number of intelligence leaks drew the criticism of Republicans, who accused the CIA and the Obama administration of leaking favorable information for political reasons, and took a bigger blow in the aftermath of the recent attacks on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

Politicians and pundits accused him of covering up the true timeline of events that unfolded the night four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, were killed.

The retired four-star general was featured in Newsweek’s special “Hero” issue just this week and provided a dozen tips on leadership in a piece penned by Broadwell, his biographer whom the FBI is reportedly investigating. “We all will make mistakes,” tip number five began. “The key is to recognize them and admit them, to learn from them, and to take off the rear view mirrors—drive on and avoid making them again.”

Here is Petraeus’ letter in full:

Yesterday afternoon, I went to the White House and asked the President to be allowed, for personal reasons, to resign from my position as D/CIA. After being married for over 37 years, I showed extremely poor judgment by engaging in an extramarital affair. Such behavior is unacceptable, both as a husband and as the leader of an organization such as ours. This afternoon, the President graciously accepted my resignation.

As I depart Langley, I want you to know that it has been the greatest of privileges to have served with you, the officers of our Nation’s Silent Service, a work force that is truly exceptional in every regard. Indeed, you did extraordinary work on a host of critical missions during my time as director, and I am deeply grateful to you for that.

Teddy Roosevelt once observed that life’s greatest gift is the opportunity to work hard at work worth doing. I will always treasure my opportunity to have done that with you and I will always regret the circumstances that brought that work with you to an end.

Thank you for your extraordinary service to our country, and best wishes for continued success in the important endeavors that lie ahead for our country and our Agency.

With admiration and appreciation,

David H. Petraeus

Libya mission was mainly CIA operation

 The News. com
WASHINGTON: The US mission in Benghazi that came under attack by militants on September 11 was mainly a secret CIA operation, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday, shedding new light on the deadly assault.President Barack Obama’s administration has faced a storm of pre-election questions about why there was not more security at the US consulate where four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, were killed on September 11.

The Wall Street Journal said the mission was mainly a CIA operation, adding that of the 30 American officials evacuated from Benghazi following the assault, just seven worked for the State Department. It also identified the two security contractors killed in the attack — former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty — as working for the Central Intelligence Agency and not the State Department.

In a break from tradition, it said CIA Director David Petraeus did not attend the ceremony when the coffins arrived back on American soil in order to conceal the CIA operation in eastern Libya. It said the nearly two dozen CIA operatives secretly worked out of a separate building known as the “annex,” where officials at the consulate had retreated following the initial attack before coming under fire again.

The operation, which hit the ground shortly after the start of the February 2011 revolt that overthrew Libyan dictator Muammar Gadaffi — was aimed at counterterrorism and securing heavy weapons held by the embattled regime.

The Journal suggested that the security lapse may have been due to miscommunication between the CIA and the State Department, with the latter assuming the annex security team was a sufficient backup for its own guards. “They were the cavalry,” it quoted a senior US official as saying. The Journal said that the day after the attack, the CIA sent Libyan security officials to the annex to destroy classified documents and sensitive equipment while leaving the charred and ransacked consulate — which by design had contained no classified materials — unattended.

New Obama Executive Order Seizes U.S. Infrastructure and Citizens for Military Preparedness

Brandon Turbeville
BlacklistedNews.com

In a stunning move, on March 16, 2012, Barack Obama signed an Executive Order stating that the President and his specifically designated Secretaries now have the authority to commandeer all domestic U.S. resources including food and water. The EO also states that the President and his Secretaries have the authority to seize all transportation, energy, and infrastructure inside the United States as well as forcibly induct/draft American citizens into the military. The EO also contains a vague reference in regards to harnessing American citizens to fulfill “labor requirements” for the purposes of national defense.

The Vetting – Holder 1995: We Must ‘Brainwash’ People on Guns

by Joel B. Pollak

Breitbart.com has uncovered video from 1995 of then-U.S. Attorney Eric Holder announcing a public campaign to “really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way.”

Holder was addressing the Woman’s National Democratic Club. In his remarks, broadcast by CSPAN 2, he explained that he intended to use anti-smoking campaigns as his model to “change the hearts and minds of people in Washington, DC” about guns.

Holder’s Brainwashing Against Guns Foreshadowed Operation Fast and Furious

Yesterday, Breitbart.com revealed exclusive video of then-U.S. Attorney Eric Holder speaking to the Woman’s National Democratic Club, stating that he wanted to “brainwash” people against gun ownership.

The video reveals Attorney General Holder’s early, consistent, and strident enthusiasm for gun control legislation. He wanted schools to talk about anti-gun propaganda “every day, every school, and every level.”

Operation Fast and Furious — in which Holder’s Department of Justice (DOJ) smuggled guns illegally to Mexican drug cartels — could finally have provided Holder the material for that anti-gun curriculum.

WAR PLAN IRAN: Dispelling the Lies, Telling the Truth about Western Aggression in the Persian Gulf

GR ONLINE NEWS READER

by Finian Cunningham and Michel Chossudovsky

The year 2012 may become known as a watershed for humanity – the year when mankind was precipitated into a global conflagration involving nuclear weapons. The signs are indeed grimly ominous as formidable military forces converge on the Persian Gulf in the long-running stand-off between the United States and Iran.

On side with the US are its European allies in NATO, primarily Britain, Washington’s Middle East client states: Israel and the Arab monarchies of the Persian Gulf – all bristling with weapons of mass destruction. Recent naval exercises by Iran in the Strait of Hormuz have also displayed a fierce arsenal of missiles and military capability, and Iran has strategic alliances with Russia and China, both of whom will not stand idly by if their Persian partner is attacked.

As we have consistently analysed on Global Research, the conflict between the US-led powers and Iran has wider ramifications. It is part and parcel of Washington’s bid to engineer the social and political upheavals across the Arab World in order to redraw the region in its strategic interests. It is no coincidence that fresh from NATO’s conquest of and regime change in Libya, the focus has quickly shifted to Syria – a key regional ally of Iran. As Michel Chossudovsky has pointed out “the road to Tehran goes through to Damascus”. Regime change in Syria would serve to isolate Iran. Subjugating Iran and returning it to Western tutelage is the prize that Washington and its allies have been seeking for the past 33 years ever since their client the Shah, Mohammad Rezā Pahlavi, was deposed by the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

Global arms trade growth by a quarter is spurred by India

Fears of arms race in Asia as Stockholm peace institute data shows India is now biggest importer

The global arms trade has grown by nearly a quarter over the last four years, with new growth mainly in poorer countries and India now officially the world’s biggest importer of arms, research has revealed.

Statistics published on Monday by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute show that demand from emerging economies – in particular India – drove the volume of worldwide arms transfers between 2007 and 2011 to a level 24% higher than in the previous four years.

Bombs & Blame: Syria accuses Saudis, Qatar of arming rebels

Uploaded by on Mar 19, 2012

The Syrian regime has pointed the finger at Saudi Arabia and Qatar, saying the Arab states were involved in the chain of weekend terror blasts in Syria’s largest cities. The Gulf nations have been accused by Assad’s government of arming whoever carried out the attacks, which left around thirty people dead and dozens injured.

Sara Marusek, a Beirut-based researcher from Syracuse University talks to RT. She says the Syrian people are falling victim to Saudi Arabi and Qatar’s brutal tactics, to push their political agenda.

France Bans GM Corn Amid Mass US Protests against Monsanto

by Rady Ananda

Amid mass US protests against Monsanto in mid-March, France imposed a temporary moratorium on the planting of Monsanto’s genetically modified corn, MON810.

“Due to the proximity of the planting season,” said Agriculture Minister Bruno Le Maire along with Francois Fillon, Minister for Ecology and Sustainable Development, in a press release on Friday, authorities “decided to take a precautionary measure to temporarily prohibit the cultivation of maize MON810 on the national territory to protect the environment.”

Megaupload Seizure Order “Null and Void” Says High Court

In another astonishing development in the Megaupload saga, a judge in New Zealand’s High Court has declared the order used to seize Kim Dotcom’s assets as “null and void”. The blunder, which occurred because the police applied for the wrong type of court order, means that the Megaupload founder could have his property returned.

Just when it seemed that the handling of the Megaupload case couldn’t get any more controversial, a development from New Zealand has taken things to the next level.

Texas Mayor Officially Cancels Agenda 21 Membership

The city of Irving, Texas has officially withdrawn its membership from ICLEI — the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives. This NGO was established in 1990 and is the action division of the policies laid out under the UN’s Agenda 21 plan — the globalist initiative to usher in a post-industrial world for the 21st century through the creation of local laws and requirements for city planning that essentially erase personal property rights and even steal land under a “sustainable” umbrella.

Midnight Climax: CIA’s MK-ULTRA LSD experiments in San Francisco

Newly released documents shed light on the San Francisco edition of the CIA’s notorious MK-ULTRA program (through which people were unwittingly given massive doses of LSD to see if the drug would be useful for brainwashing), which ran from 1953-1964. There’s lots of detail about MK-ULTRA’s work in NYC and Montreal, but the San Francisco operation has been shrouded in mystery.

Spies could use your TV to snoop on you, according to CIA director David Petraeus

Spies could now snoop on you through your TV, dispensing with the necessity of planting bugs in your room, according to CIA director David Petraeus. The CIA says it will be able to ‘read’ these devices via the internet – and perhaps even via radio waves from outside the home, Petraeus added. Everything from remote controls to clock radios can now be controlled via apps – and chip company ARM recently unveiled low-powered, cheaper chips which will be used in everything from fridges and ovens to doorbells.

Don’t want to be groped by the TSA or go through a body scanner? Just pay $100!

With their thoroughly reprehensible “grope-down” procedure, not to mention reportedly strip searching multiple elderly women, harassment of elderly terminal cancer patients and the severely mentally challenged, and the potentially dangerous and ludicrously costly naked body scanners (which can be circumvented with shocking ease), the TSA has become a bit of a joke in the United States.

Not to be outdone, they have now introduced a program which allows travelers to pay $100 to take part in a program where they are able to skip the degrading, dehumanizing procedures the rest of us are subjected to every time we’re unfortunate enough to travel by plane.
