U.S. Secret Service buys 26 devices to identify and collect wireless communication data

By Madison Ruppert

Editor of End the Lie

An electronics company out of Victor, New York has been awarded a $32,540 contract by the U.S. Secret Service to provide 26 shielded test enclosures known as “RF [Radio Frequency] isolation test products” in order to help the Secret Service identify and collect data from wireless communication devices.

The monitoring of wireless communications is nothing new, as we’ve seen the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) pour funds into projects like the so-called F-BOMB, a dirt cheap miniature spy computer which can be concealed in just about anything in order to crack wireless networks and steal data.

Ramsey Electronics, the company who received the contract, is slated to deliver the 26 devices by July 1, which is quite interesting because the original solicitation was posted on May 4.

If you know government contracts, you know that’s a pretty speedy turnaround, especially since the contract was actually awarded on June 7.

The Secret Service is seeking these RF isolation test products for use on 802.11 a, b and g, which usually means consumer wireless internet networks; Bluetooth; RFID and 3G signals.

According to the statement posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website, part of the General Services Administration (GSA) – employees of which, oddly enough, have actually commented on an article on End the Lie in the past – this is a fixed firm price contract, although they could very well purchase more in the future if needed.

“Forensic investigation of cell phones, PDA’s, and other hand-held wireless devices specifically requires complete hands-on manipulation of the wireless device to identify and extract data while maintaining complete RF isolation from the outside world,” explains Ramsey on their official website.

Indeed, the contract even requires “RF Window & Gloves” in order to manipulate the devices, indicated by the inclusion of “Unit mush [sic] have a viewing window and gloved access.”

Interestingly, this is to be delivered to James Darnell, 2821 E 8th Street Tulsa, OK 74104, while the U.S. Secret Service’s headquarters is in Washington D.C.

The devices, which will be delivered to the Secret Service early next month, are designed specifically to enable individuals to test, troubleshoot and tune devices in an environment free of RF interference.

“Once closed, a large RF tight viewing window overlooks the entire working area within the enclosure,” explains Ramsey Electronics.

“Hands-on troubleshooting, tuning and access to the device under test are accomplished using specially designed, silver impregnated, ultra fine mesh gloves that offer excellent manual dexterity and hands-on access to the equipment under test,” they add.

While the model acquired by the Secret Service normally costs $1,495 per unit, they apparently reduced their selling price to $1,250 in coming to an agreement with the Secret Service.

The question remains: why does the Tulsa, Oklahoma Secret Service field office need a whopping 26 of these test devices?

One positive thing I can see is that ludicrous sums of money weren’t spent on this procurement, although this very well might just be the initial test purchase with much more to come.

I would love to know why they need these and what they will be using them for, but good luck getting a straight answer.

US President Barack Obama’s popularity has declined significantly on the international stage since 2009, says a new survey. Disillusionment at a unilateral foreign policy and controversial drone strikes are major factors in his decline in approval.

The Pew Research Center carried out an opinion poll about the US president and his policies in 21 countries, documenting a clear decline in his popularity worldwide. As a result, global perception on the US as a whole has also taken a tumble.

While public opinion of Obama still remains largely positive in the EU since 2009 confidence in the US head of state has slipped by 6 per cent from 86 to 80.

Muslim countries surveyed reported the lowest approval ratings of 24 per cent, dropping by 9 per cent since Obama’s election. By far the most drastic change in public opinion of the US leader came from China, where his popularity has plummeted by 24 per cent over the last three years.

The investigation identified the predominant reason for the decline in global opinion as US anti-terrorist measures. All of the countries surveyed reported dramatic decline in public approval of US foreign policy.

“There remains a widespread perception that the US acts unilaterally and does not consider the interests of other countries,” said the Pew Research Center.

US citizens do not share this opinion, roughly three in four Americans believing that the interests of other countries play a major role in shaping US foreign policy.

The majority of the countries expressed considerable opposition to the US use of drone attacks to target extremist Muslim leaders in nations such as Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia.

Washington maintains the attacks are highly effective at targeting militant insurgency, but has received widespread criticism for the civilian casualties caught in the crossfire.

The rise of China

The survey also displays a significant decline in confidence for the US economy, with the majority of nations perceiving China as the world’s new financial superpower.

The economic balance of power has shifted dramatically since Obama took office in 2009. At that time an average of 42 per cent named the US as the world’s dominant economic power, with China garnering a modest 22 per cent.

However, three years later the tables have turned, with China occupying the top spot at 43 per cent and the US trailing at 36 per cent.

Obama still election favorite

Despite global disillusionment at Obama’s policies, most countries still support his reelection bid, with the majority of EU citizens backing him in this year’s elections.

However, the new statistics show that global interest in the American presidential hopefuls has diminished since 2009 with a large number of respondents indifferent as to whether Obama should take up office again.

The new figures show that after the initial booming support for the Nobel Peace Prize-winning president the world is falling out of love with the Obama administration.

US: Russia sending Syria attack helicopters

Syrians gather around Arabic writing made from fire on Thursday which reads, "we will continue," during a demonstration in Zabadani neighborhood, Damascus, Syria. The head of a U.N. observer team in Syria cautioned Friday that the mission cannot achieve a permanent end to the violence without genuine talks between the two sides that have been locked in a violent conflict for more than a year. WASHINGTON (AP) – The Obama administration said Tuesday that Russia is sending attack helicopters to Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime and warned that the Arab country’s 15-month conflict could become even deadlier.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said the U.S. was “concerned about the latest information we have that there are attack helicopters on the way from Russia to Syria.”

She said the shipment “will escalate the conflict quite dramatically.”

Clinton’s comments at a public appearance with Israeli President Shimon Peres augured poorly for a peaceful solution to Syria’s conflict. Officials from around the world are warning that the violence risks becoming an all-out civil war, with Middle East power brokers from Iran to Turkey possibly being drawn into the fighting.

Diplomatic hopes have rested on Washington and Moscow agreeing on a transition plan that would end the four-decade Assad regime.

But Moscow has consistently rejected the use of outside forces to end the conflict or any international plan to force regime change in Damascus. Despite withering criticism from the West, it insists that any arms it supplies to Syria are not being used to quell anti-government dissent.

With diplomacy at a standstill, the reported shipment of helicopters suggests a dangerous new turn for Syria after more than a year of harsh government crackdowns on mainly peaceful protests and the emergence of an increasingly organized armed insurgency.

There was no immediate reaction from the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Russia and Syria have a longstanding military relationship and Syria hosts Russia’s only naval base on the Mediterranean Sea. But in light of the brutal violence, the U.S. has repeatedly demanded that any further deliveries of weaponry be halted. Russian military support in the form of materiel as advanced as attack helicopters would deal a serious blow to efforts to starve the Syrian army of supplies.

Some 13,000 people have died, according to opposition groups, but the U.S. and its allies have been hoping that sanctions on Assad’s government and its increased isolation would make it increasingly difficult to carry out military campaigns. Attack helicopters are heavily armored and can carry machine guns, rockets, missiles or other weapons capable of firing at ground targets.

Joan Rivers: Obama and Romney ‘both idiots’

By Geneva Sands

Comedienne and E! fashion guru Joan Rivers, known for her pointed critiques of celebrities, doesn’t hold back her political opinions either, telling CNN that President Obama and his Republican rival Mitt Romney are “both idiots.”

“How dare you spend two years campaigning. This country’s in trouble,” said Rivers in an interview that aired on CNN’s “Starting Point” Wednesday.

The host of “Fashion Police” lamented the drawn-out presidential campaign season in the United States and advocated for a system more like the United Kingdom’s.

“Six weeks to find out what everyone thinks before they vote for them for parliament. That makes sense. Two years?” River said.

The televesion personality, never shy to speak her mind, showed no leniency for either the president or the presumptive GOP nominee.

“First of all, Mr. President, get into the White House and do your Godd–n duty,” she said. “And Mitt Romney, two years, you all hate each other and now they’re all going to come together and say ‘but we really love him.’ I find it disgusting.”

Rivers got particularly heated when discussing the amount of money spent on campaigning, calling it “outrageous.”

“Obama went to a dinner party for ‘Democrats.’ Forty thousand dollars a plate. You’re not Democrats, you’re not Democrats, you’re very strong Republicans.”

“I find the whole thing disgusting, both sides, disgusting,” she added.

Rivers has been on a media tour promoting her new book, I Hate Everyone … Starting with Me.

Indiana Legalizes Shooting Cops For Unlawful Intrusion

Indiana Legalizes Shooting Cops For Unlawful Intrusion

Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels signs legislation that allows the use of deadly force against police officers in cases of unlawful intrusions.

RT – Hold onto your holsters, folks: shooting a cop dead is now legal in the state of Indiana.

Governor Mitch Daniels, a Republican, has authorized changes to a 2006 legislation that legalizes the use of deadly force on a public servant — including an officer of the law — in cases of “unlawful intrusion.” Proponents of both the Second and Fourth Amendments — those that allow for the ownership of firearms and the security against unlawful searches, respectively — are celebrating the update by saying it ensures that residents are protected from authorities that abuse the powers of the badge.

Others, however, fear that the alleged threat of a police state emergence will be replaced by an all-out warzone in Indiana.

Under the latest changes of the so-called Castle Doctrine, state lawmakers agree “people have a right to defend themselves and third parties from physical harm and crime.” Rather than excluding officers of the law, however, any public servant is now subject to be met with deadly force if they unlawfully enter private property without clear justification.

“In enacting this section, the general assembly finds and declares that it is the policy of this state to recognize the unique character of a citizen’s home and to ensure that a citizen feels secure in his or her own home against unlawful intrusion by another individual or a public servant,” reads the legislation.

Although critics have been quick to condemn the law for opening the door for assaults on police officers, supporters say that it is necessary to implement the ideals brought by America’s forefathers. Especially, argue some, since the Indiana Supreme Court almost eliminated the Fourth Amendment entirely last year. During the 2011 case of Barnes v. State of Indiana, the court ruled that a man who assaulted an officer dispatched to his house had broken the law before there was “no right to reasonably resist unlawful entry by police officers.” In turn, the National Rifle Association lobbied for an amendment to the Castle Doctrine to ensure that residents were protected from officers that abuse the law to grant themselves entry into private space.

“There are bad legislators,” the law’s author, State Senator R. Michael Young (R) tells Bloomberg News. “There are bad clergy, bad doctors, bad teachers, and it’s these officers that we’re concerned about that when they act outside their scope and duty that the individual ought to have a right to protect themselves.”

Governor Daniels agrees with the senator in a statement offered through his office, and notes that the law is only being established to cover rare incidents of police abuse that can escape the system without reprimand for officers or other persons that break the law to gain entry.

“In the real world, there will almost never be a situation in which these extremely narrow conditions are met,” Daniels says. “This law is not an invitation to use violence or force against law enforcement officers.”

Officers in Indiana aren’t necessarily on the same page, though. “If I pull over a car and I walk up to it and the guy shoots me, he’s going to say, ‘Well, he was trying to illegally enter my property,’” Sergeant Joseph Hubbard tells Bloomberg. “Somebody is going get away with killing a cop because of this law.”

“It’s just a recipe for disaster,” Indiana State Fraternal Order of Police President Tim Downs adds. “It just puts a bounty on our heads.”

Lieberman puts deadline on cybersecurity bill, ‘take it up in July’

By Brendan Sasso 06/13/12 05:17 PM ET

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) urged the Senate to pass his cybersecurity bill in a floor speech on Wednesday, warning that July could be the final opportunity to address the issue.

He predicted that the lame-duck session following the election will be consumed by budget and tax issues.

“The truth is, if we don’t take it up in July and see if we’ve got the votes … we’re not going to be able to pass this legislation in a way that’s timely and allows us to go to conference, reach an agreement and send the bill to the president,” Lieberman said.

The evidence is really stacking up against the routine use of many commonly used medical screening methods such as mammograms and CT scans—two ionizing radiation screening methods that I’ve been warning about since the creation of this web site.On the heels of recent reports revealing that too many diagnostic tests are being done on adults, new reports have now come out, warning that some of these tests not only can cause cancer in children, but can induce new cancers in children who are being treated for cancer.

Chest Radiation at Young Age Contribute to Later Breast Cancers

Researchers from the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City recently presented their findings at the annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology in Chicago, stating that girls who receive radiation to the chest to treat childhood cancer have a high risk of developing breast cancer at a young age i.

Even those who received low doses of the common cancer treatment face an increased risk of breast cancer later, the scientists said, adding that the risk posed by radiation may be as great as having the BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation—two genetic mutations associated with an increased risk of breast cancer.

The researchers analyzed data from nearly 1,300 cancer survivors in the Childhood Cancer Survivor Study. As reported by MedPage Today ii:

“With a median follow up of 26 years, 175 of the nearly 1,300 cancer survivors later developed breast cancer at a median age of 38 years. The time between the initial therapy and later breast cancer was a median of 23 years, the researchers found…

As well, they studied 4,570 first-degree female relatives of participants in the Women’s Environmental Cancer and Radiation Epidemiology study to estimate the incidence associated with carrying two mutations, BRCA1 and BRCA2, that increase the risk of breast cancer.

Overall, Moskowitz said the cumulative incidence of breast cancer at age 50 was 24 percent, compared with the 4 percent background rate among all women reported by the Surveillance and Epidemiology End Results (SEER) database.

For women exposed to the high levels of mantle radiation formerly used to treat Hodgkin lymphoma (20 Gy or more), the cumulative incidence at age 50 was higher at 31 percent, Moskowitz said. That is similar to the 30 percent incidence seen in the cohort of relatives among carriers of the BRCA1 mutation, she said.

But even for women exposed to lower levels of whole-lung radiation (10 to 19 Gy), the cumulative incidence was elevated and was comparable to the 10 percent rate seen among carriers of the BRCA2 mutation in the cohort of relatives, she said.”

Sadly enough, the proposed “solution” is to begin mammogram screenings earlier on women who received radiation treatment in their youth, which further increases their risk of cancer! The nonsensical nature of this argument is truly mindboggling…

Routine Mammograms are Ineffective and Increase Your Risk of Breast Cancer

Mammograms expose your body to ionizing radiation that can be 1,000 times greater than that from a chest x-ray, which we know poses a cancer risk. According to Dr. Samuel S. Epstein, M.D., chairman of the Cancer Prevention Coalition, and Rosalie Bertell, Ph.D. of the International Physicians for Humanitarian Medicine iii:

“If a woman follows the current guidelines for premenopausal screening, over a 10 year period she would receive a total dosage of about 5 rads. This approximates the level of exposure to radiation of a Japanese woman one mile from the epicenter of atom bombs dropped on Hiroshima or Nagasaki.”

… [In] a study by Dr. Robert M. Kaplan, the chairman of the department of health services at the School of Public Health at the University of California, Los Angeles… they found 22 percent more invasive breast tumors in the group who had mammograms every two years compared to the group who had just one mammogram over a six-year period.”

Not surprisingly, as often happens when anyone dares speak out against those in power, both the American Cancer Society and NCI called Dr. Epstein’s findings “unethical and invalid.” But Dr. Epstein is by no means alone anymore. A number of studies have surfaced, especially in the past couple of years, shedding much-needed light on the ineffectiveness and dangers of mammography.

For example:

  • In July 1995, The Lancet wrote about mammograms iv, saying: “The benefit is marginal, the harm caused is substantial, and the costs incurred are enormous …”
  • A 2009 review of the available research by the esteemed Cochrane Database of Systemic Reviews v found that while mammography screening was likely to reduce breast cancer mortality, screening also led to a 30 percent rate of overdiagnosis and overtreatment — which meant that all in all it actually increased the absolute risk by 0.5 percent. This means that for every 2,000 women screened over a 10 year period, ONE woman will have her life prolonged, while 10 healthy women, who would not have been diagnosed with cancer had they not been screened, will be treated unnecessarily
  • A 2010 study reported in the New England Journal of Medicine vi suggests that increased awareness and improved treatments rather than mammograms are the main force in reducing the breast cancer death rate. Mammograms, combined with modern treatment, was found to have reduced the death rate by 10 percent, but the study data indicated that the effect of mammograms alone could be as low as 2 percent or even zero. To put this into further context, a 10 percent reduction would mean that if 1,000 50-year-old women were screened over a 10 year period, 996 women rather than 995.6 would not die from the cancer — an effect so tiny it may have occurred by chance!
  • A 2012 Harvard study vii found that 15-25 percent of breast cancer cases are overdiagnosed, translating to 6 to 10 women being overdiagnosed for every 2,500 women receiving annual mammograms. The researchers concluded that mammograms may not only be inappropriate for breast cancer screening, but may actually contribute to significant overdiagnosis of cancer that otherwise would have remained harmless.

CT Scans Also Found to Cause Cancer in Children

In related news, the British medical journal The Lancetviii recently reported that computed tomography (CT) scans are associated with an increased risk of cancer. While the scans can produce life-saving images of head injuries, complicated pneumonia, and chest infections, a child who is exposed to the radiation from just two or three scans will TRIPLE their risk of developing brain cancer later in life. Five to 10 scans was also found to triple the risk of leukemia.

Kate Kelland with Reutersix quoted Amy Berrington de Gonzalez of the National Cancer Institute at the United States National Institutes of Health, who worked on the study with scientists from Britain and Canada:

“It’s well known that radiation can cause cancer but there is an ongoing scientific debate about whether relatively low doses of radiation, like those received from CT scans, do increase cancer risks, and if so the magnitude of those risks… Ours is the first study to provide direct evidence of a link…and we were also able to quantify that risk.”

CNN Health, which also reported on these findings, offered the following sensible advicex:

“A study last year found 1.65 million children got a CT scan during their visits to emergency rooms in 2008, a fivefold increase in 14 yearsxi. Before you agree to a CT scan for your child, here’s some advice from the study’s authors and pediatricians at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital:

  • Ask for the lowest dose of radiation possible
  • Avoid multiple scans
  • Ask for an ultrasound or MRI instead, which have no radiation at all”

New Study:Substantial Increase in Radiation Exposure from Medical Imaging Pose Health Risks

According to a new study just released in the current issue of JAMA, the use of advanced diagnostic imaging among six large integrated health care systems in the US has substantially increased between 1996 and 2010. The use of CT scans tripled during that time, dramatically increasing lifetime radiation exposure as CT scans and nuclear medicine examinations deliver far higher doses of radiation than conventional x-rays.

The average per capita effective radiation dose increased from 1.2 mSv in 1996 to 2.3 mSv in 2010. Furthermore, the percent of patients receiving high doses, between 20-30 mSv, or very high doses, up to 50 mSv, approximately doubled each year.

The authors noted that there’s evidence showing that radiation levels in the range now employed are linked to the development of radiation-induced cancers. According to the authors:

“Most studies that have evaluated patterns of diagnostic imaging have assessed insurance claims for fee-for-service insured populations where financial incentives encourage imaging. No large, multisite studies have assessed imaging trends in integrated health care delivery systems that are clinically and fiscally accountable for the outcomes and health status of the population served.

Understanding imaging utilization and associated radiation exposure in these settings could help us determine how much of the increase in imaging may be independent of direct financial incentives.

… “The increase in use of advanced diagnostic imaging has almost certainly contributed to both improved patient care processes and outcomes, but there are remarkably few data to quantify the benefits of imaging.

Given the high costs of imaging—estimated at $100 billion annually—and the potential risks of cancer and other harms, these benefits should be quantified and evidence-based guidelines for using imaging should be developed that clearly balance benefits against financial costs and health risk.”

Many Cancers Go into Remission on Their Own

According to breast surgeon Susan Love of UCLA, at least 30 percent of tumors found on mammograms would go away if you did absolutely nothingxii. These tumors appear to be destined to stop growing on their own, shrink, and even go away completely.

This begs the question—how many cancer cures that are attributed to modern interventions like chemotherapy and radiation, are actually just a function of the individual’s immune system ridding itself of the tumor on its own? And how many people get over cancer in spite of the treatments that wreak havoc on the body, rather than because of them?

It is impossible to definitively answer this question. But it is safe to say that the strength of your immune system is a major factor in determining whether or not you will beat cancer, once you have it.

Nearly everyone has cancerous and pre-cancerous cells in their body by middle age, but not everyone develops cancer. The difference lies in the robustness of your immune system. Dr. Barnett Kramer of NIHxiii says it’s becoming increasingly clear that cancers require more than just mutations to progress.

They need the cooperation of surrounding cells, certain immune responses, and hormones to fuel them. Kramer describes cancer as a dynamic process, whereas it used to be regarded as “an arrow that moved in one direction” (e.g., from bad to worse).

What does this mean for you?

The better you take care of your immune system, the better it will take care of you.

One way to strengthen your immune system is to minimize your exposure to mammograms and other sources of ionizing radiation. But you can also build up your immune system DAILY by making good diet and lifestyle choices. One of the best ways to do this is by optimizing your vitamin D level.

Vitamin D: Cancer Fighter Extraordinaire

Vitamin D, a steroid hormone that influences virtually every cell in your body, is one of nature’s most potent cancer fighters. Receptors that respond to vitamin D have been found in almost every type of human cell, from your bones to your brain. Your liver, kidney and other tissues can convert the vitamin D in your bloodstream into calcitriol, which is the hormonal or activated version of vitamin D. Your organs then use it to repair damage and eradicate cancer cells.

Vitamin D is actually able to enter cancer cells and trigger apoptosis, or cancer cell death. When JoEllen Welsh, a researcher with the State University of New York at Albany, injected a potent form of vitamin D into human breast cancer cells, half of them shriveled up and died within days. The vitamin D worked as well at killing cancer cells as the toxic breast cancer drug Tamoxifen, without any of the detrimental side effects and at a tiny fraction of the cost.

I strongly recommend making sure your vitamin D level is 70 to 100ng/ml if you’ve received a cancer diagnosis. You can achieve this through direct, safe exposure to ultraviolet light, or if this is not possible, by taking an oral vitamin D3 supplement. Vitamin D works synergistically with every cancer treatment I am aware of, without adverse effects. To learn more, please watch my one-hour lecture on vitamin D.

My Top Tips for Cancer Prevention

A recent study published in The Lancet predicts worldwide cancer cases may balloon to 22.2 million by 2030, up from 12.7 million in 2008xiv. According to Dr. Freddie Bray of the International Agency for Research on Cancerxv, “we’re headed in the wrong direction when it comes to controlling cancer rates worldwide.”

“The study found that any reductions in infection-related cancers like stomach, cervical or liver cancer… are being offset by “an increasing number of new cases that are more associated with reproductive, dietary and hormonal factors.” CNN Health reportsxvi.

This, along with the evidence of increasing rates of radiation-induced cancers discussed above, should be a wakeup call for anyone who cares about their health. It’s important to realize that cancer is for the most part a man-made disease, primarily influenced by lifestyle and toxic environmental exposures. It’s time to quit promoting damaging screening methods like mammograms as “preventive” health strategies. It does not prevent anything, but rather increases your risk of cancer and unnecessary and potentially harmful treatments.

Prevention truly is worth a pound of cure when it comes to cancer, and the following healthy lifestyle strategies can help you avoid ever becoming a cancer statistic.

    1. Avoid Fructose and Sugar. It’s quite clear that if you want to avoid cancer, or are currently undergoing cancer treatment, you absolutely MUST avoid all forms of sugar — especially fructose — and this is largely due to its relation to insulin resistance. According to Lewis Cantley, director of the Cancer Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard Medical School, as much as 80 percent of all cancers are “driven by either mutations or environmental factors that work to enhance or mimic the effect of insulin on the incipient tumor cells,” Gary Taubes reportsxvii.

As a standard recommendation, I strongly advise keeping your TOTAL fructose consumption below 25 grams per day, including fruits. But for most people it would also be wise to limit your fructose from fruit to 15 grams or less, as you’re virtually guaranteed to consume “hidden” sources of fructose if you drink beverages other than water and eat any processed food.

    1. Optimize Vitamin D. There’s overwhelming evidence pointing to the fact that vitamin D deficiency plays a crucial role in cancer development. Researchers within this field have estimated that about 30 percent of cancer deaths — which amounts to 2 million worldwide and 200,000 in the United States — could be prevented each year simply by optimizing the vitamin D levels in the general population.

On a personal level, you can decrease your risk of cancer by MORE THAN HALF simply by optimizing your vitamin D levels with sun exposure. And if you are being treated for cancer it is likely that higher blood levels—probably around 80-90 ng/ml—would be beneficial.

    1. Get plenty of natural vitamin A. There is evidence that vitamin A also plays a role in helping prevent breast cancerxviii. It’s best to obtain it from vitamin A-rich foods, rather than a supplement. Your best sources are organic egg yolks, raw butter, raw whole milk, and beef or chicken liver. However, beware of supplementing as there’s some evidence that excessive vitamin A can negate the benefits of vitamin D. Since appropriate vitamin D levels are crucial for your health in general, not to mention cancer prevention, this means that it’s essential to have the proper ratio of vitamin D to vitamin A in your body.

Ideally, you’ll want to provide all the vitamin A and vitamin D substrate your body needs in such a way that your body can regulate both systems naturally. This is best done by eating colorful vegetables (for vitamin A) and by exposing your skin to safe amounts sunshine every day (for vitamin D).

    1. Exercise regularly. If you are like most people, when you think of reducing your risk of cancer, exercise doesn’t immediately come to mind. However, there is some fairly compelling evidence that exercise can slash your risk of cancer. One of the primary ways exercise lowers your risk for cancer is by reducing elevated insulin levels, which creates a low sugar environment that discourages the growth and spread of cancer cells.

For example, physically active adults experience about half the incidence of colon cancer as their sedentary counterparts, and women who exercise regularly may reduce their breast cancer risk by 20 to 30 percent compared to those who are inactive.

It’s important to include a large variety of techniques in your exercise routine, such as strength training, aerobics, core-building activities, and stretching. Most important of all, however, is to make sure you include high-intensity, burst-type exercise, such as Peak Fitness. These exercises activate your super-fast twitch muscle fibers, which can increase your body’s natural production of human growth hormone. For detailed instructions, please see this previous article.

    1. Normalize your ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fats by taking a high-quality krill oil or fish oil and reducing your intake of most processed vegetable oils.
    2. Get sufficient amounts of iodine. Iodine is an essential trace element required for the synthesis of hormones, and the lack of it can also cause or contribute to the development of a number of health problems, including breast cancer. This is because your breasts absorb and use a lot of iodine, which they need for proper cellular function. Iodine deficiency or insufficiency in any of tissue will lead to dysfunction of that tissue, and tumors are one possibility.

However, there’s significant controversy over the appropriate dosage, so you need to use caution here. There’s evidence indicating that taking mega-doses, in the tens of milligram range may be counterproductive. One recent study suggests it might not be wise to get more than about 800 mcg of iodine per day, and supplementing with as much as 12-13 mg (12,000-13,000 mcg’s) could potentially have some adverse health effectsxix.

  1. Avoid xenoestrogens. Xenoestrogens are synthetic chemicals that mimic natural estrogens. They have been linked to a wide range of human health effects, including reduced sperm counts in men and increased risk of breast cancer in women. There are a large number of xenoestrogens, such as bovine growth hormones in commercial dairy, plastics like bisphenol A (BPA), phthalates and parabens in personal care products, and chemicals used in non-stick materials, just to name a few.
  2. Avoid unfermented soy products. Unfermented soy is high in plant estrogens, or phytoestrogens, also known as isoflavones. In some studies, soy appears to work in concert with human estrogen to increase breast cell proliferation, which increases the chances for mutations and cancerous cells.
  3. Have a tool to permanently erase the neurological short-circuiting that can activate cancer genes. Even the CDC states that 85 percent of disease is caused by emotions. It is likely that this factor may be more important than all the other physical ones listed here, so make sure this is addressed. My particular favorite tool for this purpose, as you may know, is the Emotional Freedom Technique.
  4. Only 25 percent of people eat enough vegetables, so by all means eat as many vegetables as you are comfortable with. Ideally, they should be fresh and organic. Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli in particular have been identified as having potent anti-cancer properties. Drinking a quart of organic green vegetable juice daily is an easy way to increase your vegetable intake. Please review my juicing instructions for more detailed information.
  5. Maintain an ideal body weight.
  6. Get appropriate amounts of high-quality sleep.
  7. Reduce your exposure to environmental toxins like pesticides, household chemical cleaners, synthetic air fresheners, and air pollution.
  8. Limit your exposure and provide protection for yourself from EMF produced by cell phone towers, base stations, cell phones and WiFi stations. On May 31, 2011, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), an arm of the World Health Organization (WHO), declared that cell phones are “possibly carcinogenic to humans.”xx Implement as many safety strategies as possible if/when you cannot avoid their use.
  9. Boil, poach or steam your foods, rather than frying or charbroiling them. Better yet eat as much raw food as you can.

Dem senator advocates for industrial hemp bill

By Daniel Strauss 06/13/12 05:14 PM ET

Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) explained the difference between industrial hemp and marijuana on Wednesday in a floor speech advocating for an amendment to a Senate farm bill that would allow American farmers to grow hemp.

Wyden’s amendment would remove a federal regulation banning farmers from growing hemp and replace it with a state-administered permit system. Wyden’s amendment (#2220) is co-sponsored by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.).

“This is, in my view, a textbook example of a regulation that flunks the commonsense test. There is government regulation on the books today that prevents America’s farmers from growing industrial hemp and what’s worse is this regulation is hurting job creation in rural American and increasing our trade deficit,” Wyden said.

The amendment would likely win more support from other members of the Senate once they learned that it really wasn’t an attempt to legalize marijuana, Wyden continued.

“When my colleagues get, I think, more information on this outrageous, outlandish regulation, I think most of my colleagues are going to say that the restriction on industrial hemp is really a poster child for dumb regulation,” Wyden continued. “The only thing standing in the way of taking advantage of this very profitable crop is a lingering misunderstanding about its use, and the amendment that I have filed on this issue will end a ridiculous regulation once and for all.”

Wyden added that there were major differences between industrial grown hemp and marijuana.

“Now I know that there are going to be members of Congress and others who are going to be listening and say ‘all this talk about hemp is basically talk about marijuana.’ The fact of the matter is while they come from the same species of plant, there are major differences between them.

“Under this amendment the production of hemp would still be regulated but it would be done through permitting programs, not the federal government,” he said.

Wyden said nine states had already introduced permitting programs that banned the growth of marijuana and that industrial hemp had a very low tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) level — much lower than marijuana.

“Under 0.03 percent. The lowest-grade marijuana typically has 5 percent THC content,” Wyden said.

“The bottom line,” Wyden added, “is no one is going to get high on industrial hemp.”

Wyden introduced his amendment on Thursday. Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) put forward similar legislation, H.R. 1831, in the House. —This story was updated at 5:46 p.m.

Texas, Time to Secede or Be Ruled By Globalist Puppets in Both Poltical Parties.

This election is a joke. There is no evidence to say the elections are fair, accurate or have any credibility. Texas cannot afford another four  years under Obama or Romney. If Obama wins a second term, we will get more of the same and worse. If Romney wins, there will be no difference in policy either. He is for gun control and socialized medicine. Romney is a vanilla ice version of Obama. There is not a dimes worth of difference between the two candidates. So what should Texas do to ensure its own survival to maintain her economic and cultural heritage?

First things Texans should do, that is recall Governor Rick Perry and Lt Governor David Dewhurst to remove both from office. They both talk a good talk, saying they will not allow Washington DC to interfere in the business of Texas; their lack of actions on the behalf of Texans speaks louder then words. They both are derelict in their duties and have behind the scenes have killed bills that were good for Texans siding with special interest.

They were silent during the rolling blackouts in February 2011 allowing the EPA to shut off our coal power plants on the coldest day of winter. Both were silent and out to lunch.

They have failed to send law enforcement officers to the Airport and enforce existing state law prohibiting TSA for touching people in private areas against their will. Lt Gov Dewhurst twisted the State Senators arms on the Senate Floor with a Rep from Obama’s DOJ to kill the bill after the House voted overwhelmingly in favor. Gov Perry waited the last minute to put the bill back on the agenda of the special session making it impossible to pass due to lack of time left in the session. Both these men coordinated behind the scenes to kill this legislation that would have been a major victory for state’s rights.

They have allowed the EPA to come into Texas and shut down coal power plants without any law to justify the actions.

They have no stood up for the Texas oil industry when Obama was on contempt of court not allowing offshore drilling.

They have stood silent while Obama came in and took over the permit process for refineries and power plants that was reserved for Texas only.

They violated the Logan Act. Rick Perry attending Bilderberg meeting in Istanbul Turkey in 2006, David Dewhurst attended Bretton Woods II in 2011 meeting behind closed doors with George Soros talking about economic policy in secrecy.

Gov Rick Perry and Lt Gov David Dewhurst both work for the same foreign banks Barrack Obama and Mitt Romney bow to and take orders from the same oligarchs. Texas cannot have this anymore if she is going to survive.

These two will stand in the way allowing Texans to vote on shall we be a part of the Untied States or secede from the union? If Texas does secede, we cannot have these men in power because they will make sure we are beholden to the UN and a private central bank.

If Barrack Obama wins, a second term or Mitt Romney is the 45th President. First, we cannot have Perry and Dewhurst in power to thwart the will of Texans. They will go along with the same globalist agenda regardless who is in the White House.

I see secession being the only choice now facing Texas now if freedom is going to survive and her dignity kept in tact. We cannot allow to be governed by a false choice that was chosen by the ruling oligarchs and not Texans themselves. Mitt Romney is not a dimes worth of difference than Obama. They are both stand for things Texas is against in their true beliefs. Texas does not want Obamacare. Romney and Obama both endorse Socialized medicine. They both are for gun control. Romney signed the assault weapons ban in 2004. The both are pro abortion. They both are for carbon taxes and banker bailouts.

President Obama if he wins a second term will use the pen to sign executive orders bypassing congress to implement gun control and agenda 21. Texas needs a governor and a Lt Gov who will govern as the President of the Senate who can set the agenda for the state to erect barriers against illegal Federal encroachments. If the Federal government does not respect the state’s right to govern as they see fit. We can secede by a vote of the state legislature or a direct election with a simple up and down vote,

Texas is in a unique position to make her own way to be a state or be a republic once more. Sam Houston prophesied” Texas will again lift its head, and stand among the nations” That time is coming soon where Texas will have to make a choice or fade into history under the globalist dictatorship. It is all in God’s hands for now.
